Work Eyes, Arms and Legs in continuous rnds; do not join or turn unless otherwise instructed.
FRONT With A, ch 17.
Row 1: Sc in 2nd ch from hook and each ch across – 16 sts.
Row 2: Ch 1, turn, sc in each st across.
Rep Row 2 until piece measures 5 in. (12.5 cm) from beg.
Fasten off.
BACK Make same as Front.
ARMS AND LEGS (make 4) With B, ch 2.
Rnd 1: Work 6 sc in first ch; place a marker to indicate beg of rnd; move marker as each rnd is completed.
Rnd 2: 2 sc in each st around – 12 sts.
Rnds 3–7: Sc in each st around.
Fasten off.
LARGE EYE With C, ch 2.
Rnd 1: Work 6 sc in first ch; place a marker to indicate beg of rnd; move marker as each rnd is completed.
Rnd 2: 2 sc in each st around – 12 sts.
Rnd 3: *2 sc in next st, sc in next st; rep from * around – 18 sts.
Fasten off.
SMALL EYE Work as for Large Eye through Rnd 2 – 12 sts.
Fasten off.
FINISHING Sew crochet Eyes to Front. With E, embroider French knots at center of each Eye for ‘Pupil’. With B, embroider a straight stitch smile. Hold Front and Back with wrong sides together. Working through both thicknesses, join D with sl st and sc around all sides, working 2 sc in each corner. Before closing final edge, stuff lightly. Stuff Arms and Legs and sew to body. Weave in ends.
